Rosario Faraci is Professor of Business Economics and Management, President of the Undergraduate Program in Business Administration and Delegate of the Rector for the Technology Transfer at the University of Catania, where he serves also as President of CAPITT and President of the Committee for Spin-Offs.
He has been Deputy Chair of the Department Economics and Business and Director of the Master in E-business. He teaches Business Economics and Management and Industry Dinamics & Business Models in his Department. He has been Visiting Professor at the University of Florida and Visiting Research Scholar at the Texas A&M University. Recognized as a "Friend" of the Strategic Management Society, he has been Co-Organizer of a Special Conference (2007) and of the International Annual Meeting (2010) as well as Co-organizer of the First Exemplar Conference sponsored by the Division of Entrepreneurship at the Academy of Management. Co-Editor of the Journal of Management and Governance, he is in the Editorial Board of American Journal of Business and Finanza, Marketing and Produzione. His research interests are in the areas of family firms, entrepreneurship, startups, corporate governance, firm competitiveness and privatization of state-owned firms.
